SBR Collective loyalty programme

Why we built this

I started running because I signed up to a half ironman for A Stitch in Time, a local mental health charity. Good reason to enter. Slight problem: I didn't know a single person who had done a triathlon.

Where do you start? What kit do you actually need, as opposed to what the internet says you need? What shoes? Nobody could tell me, and the places selling the gear weren't much help either. I got there in the end, but I wasted a lot of money and a fair bit of time finding out things somebody could have told me in five minutes.

That gap is why SBR Collective exists. There's a treadmill you're welcome to run on before you buy anything. We take the time on fit, because the wrong shoe is how people end up injured and give up. And if you're not local, message us and you'll get a proper answer from someone who runs.

SBR Collective loyalty points

Why points instead of discounts

We're a small business and we'd like to still be here in ten years. Constant discounting is how small shops disappear, and a discount is a poor reason to come back to someone. It says nothing about whether we were any good.

So we've kept the $20 off your first order, because we want to say thanks for taking a chance on us. After that, we'd rather reward you for being part of this place than keep cutting prices and hoping.

That's what SBR Loyalty Points is. It isn't a gimmick to get you spending more. It's the bit that says we noticed you came back.

Loyalty Program FAQs

What is the SBR Loyalty Program?

It’s our way of rewarding people who keep coming back. You earn SBR Loyalty Points through purchases and other activities, then turn those points into vouchers to use with us.

How do I join?

Create an SBR account through the loyalty page or the rewards tab on the website. It’s free to join, takes about a minute and you’ll receive 200 points straight away.

How do I earn points?

You’ll earn 5 points for every $1 spent, whether you shop online or in-store. You can also earn 150 points on your birthday, 25 points for visiting the online store and 200 points when you join.

How much are my points worth?

Every 100 points is worth $1. Rewards start at 500 points for a $5 voucher, with larger vouchers available as your balance grows, right up to $100 for 10,000 points.

How do I use my points?

Once you’ve built up enough points, you can turn them into a voucher to use with SBR. Voucher options start at $5 and increase depending on your points balance.

I’ve shopped with SBR before. Do I already have points?

Possibly. If you’ve purchased from us previously, there may already be points waiting for you when you create or log into your account.

Why did SBR create a points program?

We wanted a better way to reward people for coming back than running constant discounts. The program is designed to recognise loyalty, with plans to expand it over time to reward more of what happens around SBR, including community participation as well as purchases.

This is just the start

Points on purchases is the easy part. What we actually want is a version of this that rewards being part of the club rather than just spending in it. Turning up to Thursday intervals. Bringing a mate in for their first proper fitting. Racing in an SBR kit.

We'd rather build that properly than launch something loud and hollow, so it will come in stages. If there's something that would genuinely be worth having, tell us. We read them.
